Rocky IV - Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago

In 1985, Ivan Drago (Lundgren), an immensely muscular 6-foot 5, 261-pound Soviet boxer, arrives in the United States with his wife Ludmilla (Nielsen), and a team of trainers from the USSR and Cuba. His manager, Nicolai Koloff (Pataki), takes every opportunity to promote Drago's athleticism as a hallmark of Soviet superiority. Motivated by patriotism and an innate desire to prove himself, Apollo Creed (Weathers) challenges Drago to an exhibition bout. Rocky (Stallone) has reservations, but agrees to train Apollo despite his misgivings about the fight. He asks Apollo whether the fight is against the Russian, or "you against you". During a press conference regarding the match, hostility is created between Apollo and Drago's respective camps. The exhibition takes place at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Apollo enters the ring, wearing his old Uncle Sam outfit, in an over-the-top patriotic entrance with James Brown performing "Living in America" complete with showgirls. The bout starts tamely with Apollo landing several punches that have no effect on the Russian. It soon turns serious though, as Drago starts clobbering hard. Apollo is worn by the end of the first round. Rocky and Apollo's trainer Duke (Burton) plead with him to give up, but Apollo refuses to do so, and tells Rocky not to stop the fight. The second round doesn't go any better, and despite Duke begging Rocky to throw in the towel, he reluctantly honors Apollo's wish. This turns out to have fatal consequences as Drago lands a final punch on Apollo that knocks him to the ground, killing him. In the immediate aftermath, Drago displays no sense of remorse commenting to the assembled media: "If he dies... he dies."

Sylvester Stallone transformation | Old age is not for me!

One of the most popular action stars in cinematic history, Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone is best known for portraying boxer Rocky Balboa and Vietnam War veteran John Rambo. Born on July 6, 1946, in New York City, Sylvester Stallone rose to fame as the writer and lead of the Academy Award-winning boxing film Rocky (1976). He went on to become one of the biggest action stars in the world, reprising his characters from Rocky and First Blood (1982) for several sequels. Following a mid-career decline, he rediscovered box-office success with The Expendables (2010) and earned critical acclaim for reviving the Rocky franchise with Creed (2015), garnering his first Golden Globe win and another Oscar nomination. Sylvester Stallone’s net worth as of January 2018 is approximately $400 million at the age of 72 years old. Although by his account, Stallone was expelled from 14 schools in 11 years, he still went to college in Switzerland on an athletics scholarship, then studied drama at the University of Miami. His first film role was in the porno flick A Party At Kitty and Stud's Place, after which he turned up briefly as the thug on a subway train in Woody Allen's Bananas. Broke and down on his luck, he reportedly wrote the script for Rocky in three days. "I'm astounded by people who take 18 years to write something," he once said. "That's how long it took that guy to write Madame Bovary. And was that ever on a bestseller list? No. It was a lousy book and it made a lousy movie." Stallone's taste in literature aside, he wouldn't let go of the Rocky script until he was also allowed to star in the film and, as everyone knows, a star was born when it hit the movie houses in 1976. Stallone reprised the role for all five of the sequels. He's also lent his bad-ass movie persona to films like Judge Dredd (1995), Get Carter (2000), Rambo (2008), The Expendables (2010), The Expendables 2 (2012) and Bullet to the Head (2013), in which he plays a hitman alongside Jason Momoa. He then starred in Reach Me (2014) and The Expendables 3 (2014). More recently, he starred in the Rocky spinoff Creed alongside Michael B. Jordan, for which he received his first Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actor. He also received an Academy Award nomination for the role. His latest credits include the animated adventure flick Ratchet & Clank (2016) and the sci-fi adventure film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) with Chris Pratt. Stallone left his wife of 11 years and his two sons (his youngest son, Seargeoh, is autistic) to marry Brigitte Nielsen, a statuesque, athletic, Danish blonde who quickly drained his pocketbook and his patience. In 1997, Stallone married former model Jennifer Flavin, with whom he has three children. Surprisingly, beneath the palooka exterior lurks a painter, art collector, novelist and polo player.
