Taken from the 2013 Blu-ray release of "The Call of the Wild", released in August 1935 through United Artists. Restored in beautiful HD [includes opening and closing titles with the MPPDA and NRA stickers, respectively], it's like digging out something that was lost for so many years and then showing it to the public! I do not own this material, it belongs to 20th Century Fox, no copyright infringement intended.
I don't know about anyone else, but I reckon this is the big daddy of production company intros. Fox might be run by a scum-sucking cadaver of the Monty Burns variety, but someone back in the day knew what they were doing. Well played composer Alfred Newman and artist Emil Kosa Jr. Well played indeed. This is the version that accompanied the original (and I do mean 'the original', George) version of Star Wars in 1977.
*RARE* Taken from Clive of India (1935), one of the few 20th Century films in which Fox managed to retain the original logo in high quality (which would later be done for "The Call of the Wild" (1935) on Blu-ray; albeit with a different fanfare).
